 The technicians are responsible for providing all the information about the available products to the clients who are not well-versed in the telecommunication industry. They must be able to work at different levels and attend to all the issues about them. The professional should play an active role in coordinating with the other departments regarding scheduling repairs, orders and equipment delivery. They usually work from the office, but depending on the situation they also go on-field to resolve the issues. The experienced technicians usually work as supervisors or trainers to entry-level professionals.

They have to maintain a record of the network equipment and cable by routing and labeling them. The Telecom Technician has to work in collaboration with all the department to provide customers with the best service. The professional will have to test the circuits, alarms, and equipment to ensure proper functioning of the services.

The Telecommunications Technician will perform system analysis in support of the telecommunication system. They should have an in-depth understanding of the network components such as switches, ports, and routers. The professional has to be well-versed with a variety of test equipment to identify and resolve any technical issues. The technician will have to understand flowcharts, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
